English Department Hosts 3rd Student Exhibition (Grammatically Correct: A Poster Presentation Event)
On 14th Dec 2022, the Department of Law, Cihan University Sulaymaniyah organized a seminar for Assist Lecturer, Rizgar Abdul Muhammad Amin, Lecturer of Private Law at the Department of Law.
The presenter pointed out the fact that since the beginning of the current century, the world has witnessed tremendous development in the field of technology and communication.
Consequently, this development has led to communication between two or more people taking place in moments or immediately. In turn, people have benefited from these technologies in fulfilling all their needs. This fulfillment is not reflected only in public matters but rather employed in the field of the conclusion of marriage contracts, and, resulting in electronic marriage appearing. Recently, the matter has gone beyond the solution of the ‘solemn covenant’ by means of an electronic machine, but rather, electronic divorce.
Furthermore, Mr. Rizgar Abdul Muhammad Amin added that not only divorce is one of the serious issues that abolish the family structure that is the basis of society, but, it also destroys The family as the original cell of social life.
The presenter established that the great openness to the world that has taken place by using modern means of communication has resulted in an increase in divorce cases in the recent period.
