The Accounting Department provides specialists in the field of accounting and finance, accounting has been known as the language of business, which is concerned with supporting decision-makers with the necessary information that enables them to make appropriate and objective decisions that work to develop the company’s work and improve it for the better. Accounting also provides information about the company’s resources, the sources of these resources, and the extent to which these resources are used effectively at work. The task of preparing, declaring and interpreting this information is the responsibility of the accountant, who is an integral member of the leadership team in any company.
The Department of Accounting trains students to record, analyze, and report financial information accurately and ethically. The program covers financial, managerial, and tax accounting alongside auditing principles, preparing graduates for roles in corporate finance, auditing firms, and public institutions. Emphasis is placed on precision, integrity, and practical application of accounting standards.
Graduates will be able to:
- Apply accounting principles and standards (IFRS/GAAP) to record and report financial transactions.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements to support business decision-making.
- Apply cost and managerial accounting techniques for planning and control.
- Understand auditing standards and procedures to ensure financial accountability.
- Apply taxation laws and regulations in preparing returns and reports.
- Use accounting software and information systems for financial data processing.
- Analyze financial data to support strategic organizational decisions.
- Apply knowledge of business law and corporate governance in accounting practice.
- Communicate financial information clearly to stakeholders.
- Demonstrate ethical judgment and professional responsibility in accounting practice.
