The Medical Radiologic Technology department at Cihan University – Sulaimaniya advances radiologic science through a commitment to education, research, and community service. Our mission is to develop skilled radiology professionals capable of delivering high-quality patient care using advanced imaging technologies and diagnostic practices. We focus on equipping students with a comprehensive understanding of imaging modalities like X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine, along with practical skills in equipment operation, safety, and image interpretation. The department values lifelong learning and remains at the forefront of emerging technologies, preparing graduates for diverse careers, including Medical Radiologic Technologist, PACS Administrator, and Radiology Educator. With a focus on innovation and collaboration, our department strives to improve patient outcomes and support the broader healthcare community.
This program trains students to safely operate imaging equipment and produce high-quality diagnostic images for patient care. Coursework combines radiation physics, patient positioning, and safety protocols with supervised clinical practice. Graduates are prepared to work as skilled radiologic technologists in hospitals and imaging centers.
Graduates will be able to:
- Perform radiographic imaging procedures accurately and safely.
