English Department Hosts 3rd Student Exhibition (Grammatically Correct: A Poster Presentation Event)
On 30-31/08/2022, The Department of Medical Laboratory Analysis jointly with Department of anesthesia at Cihan University-Sulaimaniya provided a training course in (Phlebotomy) for undergraduate students and graduates from different universities and institutes. The course was given for two days free of charge.
This course was delivered by highly experienced and qualified medical laboratory professionals who have been involved in Phlebotomy for many years. During this course, the training specialist gave an introduction to phlebotomy and covered general issues relating to health and safety, responsibility and ended up with the practical session.
The outcome of the practical course provided the participants to understand the correct vein selection, describe equipment routinely used for blood withdrawals, practice safety of infection control and waste management, and actions during any complications arising during taking venous blood samples from the arm.
