English Department Hosts 3rd Student Exhibition (Grammatically Correct: A Poster Presentation Event)
On June 7, 2023, the Department of Accounting at Cihan – Sulaymaniyah University held a joint workshop with the College of Administration and Economics / Department of Economics at the University of Sulaymaniyah under the title “The phenomenon of bankruptcy of American banks and its repercussions on the European, Asian and Arab economy”.
The workshop was moderated by Prof. Dr. Hatem Hatef and Assistant Prof. Dr. Ali Jalal. The topic of the workshop was addressed through an introduction that covers the history of the US banking industry and its development then the following axes are followed:
First: The roots of the phenomenon of bankruptcy and the signs of a new financial crisis. Second, the evolution of the current financial crisis in the United States. Third: The repercussions of the crisis on the European economy. Fourth: The repercussions of the crisis on the Asian and Arab economies. and Fifth: conclusion and proposals.
The workshop holds significant importance for meeting the academic requirements of the accounting department. These sessions offer practical insights, updates on industry trends, and opportunities for professional development. By actively engaging in workshops, students and faculty members can enhance their knowledge, skills, and readiness for the dynamic field of accounting.
