Department of Computer Science :
is one of the important departments at Cihan University/Sulaimaniya.
It was established in 2011 since the foundation of the university. It is concerned with theoretical and practical methods of processing and communicating information by means of computers. The period of study at the Department of Computer is four years. Graduates are awarded the degree of the Bachelor of Computer Science. Our department continues to stress on the quality of education, and Faculty Members. The department has a qualified academic staff in most important areas in computer science. Modern laboratories and classrooms are well-equipped.
Department of Computer Sciences looks forward to qualifying graduates who are supposed to serve faithfully the local society and humanity
Graduates of this department can are efficient to continue their study to get higher education in the different fields of computer sciences.
The department plans are to enhance the qualification of the graduate students and form a base of innovators and specialists in the field of computer science and software. These specialists will have a great deal of knowledge and academic skills and practice in the fields of information technology, software and applications.
The main objectives of the Department are to:
- Produce graduates with the theoretical and the practical knowledge to meet the industry needs in Kurdistan region .
- Provide all university graduates with basic computer skills to meet the current market needs.
- Provide graduates with the basic knowledge to do research and continue post graduate studies.
- Provide graduates with skills needed to be able to communicate with others individually and to work within a team.
- Prepare students to have the required skills to do independent learning to capture future advances in technology.
