On Tuesday, April 4th, 2023, the Department of Computer science under the supervision of Mr. Sadeer Dheyaa Abdulameer organized a scientific visit for fourth and second stage students to IQ company (ISP).
The main aim of the visit was, to familiarize the students with the ISP companies and how they manage and monitor the internet traffic and troubleshooting the issues.
The visit was including four departments (NOC, IP, Datacenter, planning)
1-NOC – Network operating center, where the administrators explained how the internet traffic monitored inside and outside Iraq and where the server located through all Iraq and Europe to reduce delay and data request become faster.
2-IP- internet protocol, where the administrator demonstrated how the internet protocol get mapped from any device local network to worldwide internet (private ip to public ip) using NAT and other protocols.
3-DC- Datacenter, where the datacenter supervisor explained about the Colling system, cabling system inside datacenter. Moreover, the administrator talked about 4G & FTTH technology and how it is implemented inside datacenter.
4-Planning department, where the staff explain for students how they are planning for setting the requirement when they are configuring internet for new area or building, and how the Ip’s substitute it across the network.
