1st Seminar: Google Scholar Citations:
The First seminar was delivered by Dr. Hozan Latif Rauf. However, she highlighted the tools used by google scholar; a simple method to broadly search for scholarly literature. From one place, you can search across many disciplines and sources: articles, theses, books, abstracts and court opinions, from academic publishers, professional societies, online repositories, universities and other web sites. Furthermore, she mentioned how much that currently google scholar has become an important measuring tool for universities performance. Dr. Hozan also presented her perspective on the relationship between Google scholar and the ranking results issued by Webomatrics website.
