Student Activity: Toward a More Sustainable Campus through Innovative Design and Practical Application
On 6th June 2023, the Department of Law at Cihan University – Suleimani organised a seminar for Dr. Sirwan Roof Lecturer in College of Law titled ‘Procedural penalties as a remedy for the abuse of procedural rights’.
The above seminar was the presentation of findings of a joint research that have been conducted by the presenter and published in the latest issue of the journal (Legal and Political Studies) of the College of Law, Sulaimani University. Dr. Sirwan Roof briefly discussed the structure of the title of the seminar and took a position on three legal terms, namely (concept of procedural law, criteria of use, etc.).
Then, he briefly discussed and compared the position of legislators and judges in France and Egypt. The presenter made several proposals to amend several articles of the Civil Justice Law, the Evidence Law and the Executive Law. In addition to his proposals to the Iraqi and Kurdistan region regarding the work and activation of several important articles related to The subject of the research.
