Scientific Trip: Visit to DUKAN-2 Water Treatment Plant
On 4th Feb 2023, the Sports Unit at Cihan University Sulaymaniyah headed by Faraidun Aziz Ahmed finished a Table Tennis Tournament’s finals for students of the Department of Architectural Engineering.
The final match ended with a third-stage student Ahmed Emad Helmi winning over his opponent fifth stage student Ahmad Emad Helmi (3-2). Finally, awards were distributed to the participants.
This sporting event comes as part of the Sports Unit’s efforts to encourage and promote sport as a way of improving student well-being, health, and social life whilst at University. And, more importantly, sports activities play an important role in various groups and communities. Although sports activities have many health benefits including improving the well-being of individuals, they also contribute to the empowerment of individuals and help the development of inclusive communities.
