On 14th December 2022, The Business Administration Department of Cihan University of Sulaymaniyah jointly with The Business Administration Department of Al-Rafidain University College organized an online national workshop titled “Business Administration and Management Implementations”.
The workshop discussed many aspects of the role of business and management in social life, such as the relationship among cultures. The purpose of organizing this national workshop by The Business Administration Department comes within the framework of scientific and academic plans set out for the academic year 2022-2023.
The First Speaker: Dr. Nazar Habeeb Department of Business and Administration, Al- Rafidain University College, talked about the history of football, then football management as one of the types of businesses, how to manage this activity and its elements, and how to achieve goals for clubs and investors.
The Second Speaker: Mr. Sameer Abdul Jabbar Department of Business and Administration, Cihan University of Sulimaniyh, spoke about the role of education and higher education in supporting the achievement of sustainable development goals. First, the eight sustainable development goals were clarified for the 2000–2015 plan and then developed into the United Nations plan for 2015–2030, which contains 17 and 169 goals, respectively. The focus was placed on the fourth goal, the quality of higher education, in achieving sustainable development goals.
The Third Speaker Dr. Omar Falah Department of Business and Administration, Al- Rafidain University College, discussed modern management information systems and their role in achieving, supporting, and achieving the goals of governmental organizations and the private sector alike, as well as the importance of continuing development in the field of communications to reach the best systems used in developed countries such as Japan, European countries, and America.
The Fourth Speaker Mr. Mustafa Othman Department of Business and Administration, Cihan University of Sulimaniyh, talked about libraries’ role in helping reach the 17 goals of sustainable development. He also talked about the role of libraries, especially digital libraries, in getting the information needed to carry out and reach sustainable development goals.
