On 31st May, 2023, the Department of Architectural Engineering at Cihan University-Sulaymaniyah proudly unveiled the final submissions for their Civic Center design proposals. These proposals were the culmination of the hard work and dedication of the Third Stage students, who were expertly guided by Lecturer Samal, Assistant Lecturer Hardi Wahab, and Research Assistant Shyam Wahid – all esteemed lecturers within the Department of Architectural Engineering. The students’ designs were nothing short of impressive, showcasing their creativity and attention to detail.
The aim of these proposals was to create a multifunctional space that serves as a hub for community engagement and various cultural activities. The students were tasked with designing a modern and inclusive facility that harmonizes with its surroundings and meets the needs of the local community.
The students considered local cultural influences, architectural styles, and community needs, resulting in designs that resonate with the intended beneficiaries.
The proposed projects showcased the students’ exceptional creativity, pushing the boundaries of architectural imagination. Each project exhibited innovative approaches to spatial planning, material selection, and functional layouts. The students demonstrated a keen understanding of aesthetics and utilized their design skills to develop captivating and visually appealing concepts.
