Department of Architectural Engineering is one of the important departments at Cihan University/Sulaimaniya. It established in 2014. It is concerned with theoretical and practical methods of processing urban, architectural interior, and landscape design. The period of study at the Department is five years. Graduates are awarded the degree of the Bachelor of architectural engineering. Our department continues to stress on the quality of education, and Faculty Members. The department has a qualified academic staff in most important areas in architecture. Modern laboratories, studios, ateliers and classrooms are well equipped.
Department of Architectural Engineering looks forward to qualifying graduates who are supposed to serve faithfully the local society and humanity. Graduates of this department are efficient to continue their study to get higher education in the different fields of Architectural Engineering, such as theory and history of architecture, design process and design methodology, building types, and a many other fields.
The department plans are to enhance the qualification of the graduate students and form a base of innovators and specialists in the field of Architectural Engineering. These specialists will have a great deal of knowledge, skills and practice in the fields of design, local architecture and all applications related to the field of architecture. This will qualified them either to work into the local or international market or to continue their postgraduate study.
The objectives of the Department are to:
- Provide graduates with needed qualification to augment and to develop local architecture.
- Produce graduates with the theoretical and the practical knowledge to meet the rapid cultural developments needs in Kurdistan region.
- Provide graduates with the basic knowledge to do research and continue postgraduate studies.
- Provide graduates with skills needed to be able to communicate with others individually and to work within a team.
- Provide graduates with good ethics and strong commitment to serve accurately, honestly, and hardly working into the profession.
