Student Activity: Toward a More Sustainable Campus through Innovative Design and Practical Application
On June 6,2022, Dr. Nawzad Yahya Saeed Bajgar Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Cihan Universities and Assist. Prof.Dr Omed Rafiq Fatah the president of Cihan University-Sulaimani, opened an art exhibition for Precious Stones. The exhibition is part of the university’s Art Unit headed by Bakhtiar Hamaali Ali (Bakhtiar Halabjaee). The exhibition displays varieties of highly attractive and valuable pieces of rocks from Kurdistan Mountains. The Art Unit’s Gallery Exhibition comes as part of the universities efforts to encourage and promote Art and cultural awareness. Further, such activities are performed to take students’ creativity and divergent thinking skills to the next level and as a way of improving the well-being, health and social life of students whilst at University. And, more importantly, cultural and art activities play an important role in various groups and communities. Although cultural and art have many health benefits including improving the well-being of individuals, but, they also contribute to the empowerment of individuals, and helping the development of inclusive communities.
