Student Activity: Toward a More Sustainable Campus through Innovative Design and Practical Application
On October 5, 2024, the Translation Department of Cihan University Sulaimaniya organized a workshop titled “Bridging Theory and Practice: Designing Effective Course Books for Translation Studies.”
The event featured notable presenters, including Dr. Momen Yaseen M. Amin, Head of the Translation Department, Assistant Lecturer Azeez Raouf Abdulazeez from the Ministry of Education (Directorate of Education/ Sulaimaniya), and Assistant Lecturer Lavin Yousif Hama Raouf from Cihan University’s Translation Department. The trio shared their insights on creating educational materials that enhance the learning experience for translation students.
The workshop focused on the vital connection between theoretical knowledge and practical application in translation studies. The presenters highlighted the importance of well-structured course books, designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of translation concepts and techniques.
