Student Activity: Toward a More Sustainable Campus through Innovative Design and Practical Application
On June 12th, 2023, Cihan University-Sulaimaniya, Computer Science Department hosted a seminar titled “Using Computer Technologies in Film Production” Presented by Assistant Lecturer Asan Baker Kanbar, the seminar aimed to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of the role and impact of computer technologies in the field of film production. The presenter shared valuable insights into the cutting-edge technologies that are revolutionizing the film industry.
The seminar, covered various aspects of computer technologies in film production, including advancements in computer-generated imagery (CGI), virtual production, real-time rendering, high-resolution cameras, digital cinematography, nonlinear editing, special effects software, and collaborative workflows. Through engaging presentations, live demonstrations, and interactive discussions, participants gained a comprehensive understanding of how these technologies enhance creativity, streamline processes, and deliver captivating visual experiences on the big screen.
Additionally, they explored the use of digital editing software and post-production tools, which have streamlined the filmmaking process and provided filmmakers with greater control over their creative vision. The seminar also highlighted the significant contributions of computer science in digital cinematography.
