Student Activity: Toward a More Sustainable Campus through Innovative Design and Practical Application
On 26th September 2022, Education / Higher Ed. Adviser, U.S. Consulate General – Erbil visited Cihan University Slemani. The purpose of the visit comes within the new Strategic frameworks that the new Consul General Irvin Hicks Jr. has initiated.
The Education / Higher Ed. Adviser, Reving Mizory and Hawbir Hamaali, Director of the ACS were received and welcomed by Assist Prof. Omid Rafiq Fatah, President of Cihan University Slemani, Prof. Dr. Bamo Aziz Ibrahim Khan, Vice President for Student and Administrative Affairs, Assist Prof. Dr. Rebwar Zainalddin Mohammed, Vice-President for Academic Affairs and Postgraduate Studies.
The meeting focused on current international partners particularly the progress made on the partnership between Cihan University Slemani (CUS) and Old Dominion University (ODU). Education / Higher Ed. Adviser was briefed on the partnership’s history and current progress.
President of Cihan University Slemani and Education / Higher Ed. Adviser, U.S. Consulate General – Erbil confirmed that the development of higher education institution’s profile and reputation on a global scale can be very helpful in accomplishing its goals. International collaborations help and provide opportunities to diversify and attract more students/staff. These collaborations could also have an effect on research networks, collaborative teaching programs, and curriculum development.
