(دەزگای زەکاتی زانست سیمینارێکی پەروەردەیی پێشکەش کرد لە قوتابخانەی بنەڕەتی ژووان لە شارۆچکەی بازیان)
On 12th Dec 2022, the Department of Translation – Cihan University Sulaimaniy organised a literary analysis workshop entitled ‘Translation of Elif Shafak’s Book’.
The first speaker at the workshop was Assistant Lecturer. Mr. Aziz Raouf Abdulazeez who explained the stages and processes of translating the book from English into Kurdish. He also shared his individual experiences, explaining the translation mechanism and procedure that was used during the translation.
The second speaker at the workshop was, Dr. Momen Yaseen M.Amin lecturer at the Department of Translation at Cihan University- Sulaimaniyah talked about literary translation and procedures that translators must follow in proceeding with this type of translation. Further, he talked about the Sufism and the literature of this spiritual or transcendental practice, and how the well-known figures of this practice passed down their inspirational masterpieces to the generations that followed.
