The Department of Translation in Cihan University – Sulaimaniya is one of the outstanding departments, as it is the corner stone of this university. The study has begun in the Department in the academic year 2018-2019. The students are given different materials in Translation studies, Language and Linguistics, and Literature. It qualifies the alumni to be translators, English teachers, and employees wherever translation is needed. They are also qualified to continue their higher education for the M.A and PhD in Translation studies. The text books and materials have been chosen carefully to cope with the latest development of international universities in the world. The staff members work together to create a typical learning and teaching atmosphere as one team and as a family.
