A modifier is a word, phrase, or clause that modifies—that is, gives information about—another word in the same sentence. For example, in the following sentence. For instance, the adjective “red” acts as a modifier in the noun phrase “red ball”, providing extra detail about which particular ball is under discussion. In poetry, it is so significant and so interesting at the same time to analyse poetic themes including ideas, characters, actions and so on relying on analyzing the modifiers used within poetry. In fact, they make poetry more colorful, elaborative and more meanings are comprehended and understood when those modifiers are taken into consideration.
