In 15-19/5/2024 Mohamed Ali Abud, a first-year student in the Anesthesia Department in College of Health Sciences, has achieved remarkable success at the Kickboxing World Cup Championship held in Istanbul, Türkiye. Representing the Iraqi national team, Mohamed competed against athletes from 70 countries, showcasing exceptional skill and determination. Throughout the championship, Mohamed fought four significant matches against opponents from Korea, Turkey, and Tajikistan. Despite his valiant efforts, he faced a tough final match against the Ukrainian competitor, where an injury prevented him from securing the gold medal. Nevertheless, Mohamed’s outstanding performance earned him the silver medal, placing him second in the world. His achievement is a testament to his hard work and dedication, bringing pride to our university and country. Congratulations to Mohamed Ali Abud on his remarkable accomplishment!
