Dr. Rebar T. Abdulwahid, a distinguished researcher from Cihan University Sulaimaniya, has published two research articles in the high-impact journals.
The first article entitled “EDLC performance of plasticized NBG electrolyte inserted with Ba(NO3)2 salt: Impedance, electrical and electrochemical properties” is published in the esteemed journal (Electrochimica Acta), which is an Elsevier journal with an impact factor of (6.6), indexed in Clarivate and Web of Science. The research focuses on developing green electrolytes using natural beef gelatin (NBG) and plasticizers to combat microplastic issues. The team created NBG electrolyte films exhibiting remarkable ionic conductivity, making it a promising candidate for energy storage devices.

In another significant contribution, Dr. Rebar T. Abdulwahid research with a title “Plasticized green electrolyte and table salt for energy storage applications” published in the (Journal of Materials Science), a Springer journal with an impact factor of (4.5) and indexed in Clarivate and Web of Science. Utilizing chitosan and dextran in a solution casting process, the research achieves excellent conductivity and promising dielectric behaviors. The constructed electric double layer capacitor (EDLC), highlighting its potential as a cutting-edge solution for microplastic-free energy storage.
