Student Activity: Toward a More Sustainable Campus through Innovative Design and Practical Application
Assist. Prof. Dr. Kosar Hikmat Hama Aziz of Cihan University Sulaimaniya recently published a review article in the highly reputed journal Desalination, which has an impact factor of 9.9 and is ranked in the top quartile (Q1) by Clarivate and Web of Science. The article, titled “Biochar as green adsorbents for pharmaceutical pollution in aquatic environments: A review,” explores the use of cost-effective biochar for removing pharmaceutical pollutants from water, discussing its preparation, adsorption mechanisms, modifications, and the need for further research to enhance its efficiency and sustainability.
