Assistant Professor Dr. Fakher Rahim, Director of Research Center at Cihan University Sulaimaniya, has made a significant contribution to the field of Clinical laboratory science and the quality of endpoint clinical laboratory diagnosis. His latest research has lead to the publication of an article titled “The effect of unintended shortage in technical resources on the quality of endpoint clinical laboratory diagnosis ” in the well-known international De Gruyter publisher, called Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (CCLM) known for its substantial impact factor of 6.8 as recognized by Clarivate and Web of Science. Clinical laboratory science is one of the branches of medical science, and the laboratory is one of the important organs of the healthcare system in providing health and treatment services. Laboratory results are considered as a powerful arm in diagnosing, preventing, treating and following up on diseases, which can help clinicians in the diagnosis and treat. The quality of laboratory services has a bearing on the medical treatment that patients get, and it also has a positive impact on the amount of work that can be done in a laboratory in a given amount of time. Laboratory activity is the basis of diagnosis and treatment; higher-quality laboratory services will yield more accurate and reliable results. It is vital to comply with quality control standards to guarantee that the output of the data and the laboratory findings are of high quality. The test results will be important for the doctor only if the laboratory errors in the process of medical and clinical diagnosis.
