Student Activity: Toward a More Sustainable Campus through Innovative Design and Practical Application
Dialogue and Culture Organization which is a non-profit organization presented its fourth workshop with Cihan university on Protecting Education from the Attack. One of the topics which was discussed was the problems which face mother-tongue in Kurdistan’s education. The presenter from Cihan university Mr.Aras Abdulkarim focused on a brief introduction about the importance of first language and the factors which contribute to language shift. Nowadays, some schools and families care special attention to second and foreign languages. However, knowing different languages is highly accepted by almost everybody, but it goes without saying that, the mother tongue has its own benefits and prestige. So, in the workshop, some educational solutions were suggested to save the Kurdish language from the risks that currently exist.
