Student Activity: Toward a More Sustainable Campus through Innovative Design and Practical Application
On September 26, 2023, a series of informative seminars took place during ‘CHP show 2023’ at the Grand Millennium Conference Center in Sulaymaniyah, Iraq.
These seminars, presented in collaboration by teachers from Cihan University, American University of Iraq – Sulaymaniyah, and Tishk International University, emphasized the critical necessity of safety in building construction.
Mr.Sarko Hassan of Cihan University discussed the fundamentals of construction safety, emphasizing safety protocols, regulations, and risk assessment; Dr. Aram Hassan of the American University of Iraq – Sulaymaniyah discussed international standards and practices in building safety; and Dr. Barham Haidar of Tishk International University discussed how to cultivate safety and build a culture of security in construction.
These seminars delivered valuable insights to diverse attendees, underlining the necessity of safety as a top priority in construction, the importance of aligning local practices with international standards, and the potential of technology to elevate safety and efficiency in construction projects.
The collaborative effort of these institutions showcased a commitment to advancing construction practices in Sulaymaniyah with a strong emphasis on safety, promising to enhance safety standards and awareness in the regional construction industry.
