Presenting a Seminar by Computer Science Department
On 26/2/2019 computer science Department held a seminar presented by Asst. Lecturer. Hawar Othman Sharif entitled (Smart Mirror).
A Google Engineer invented this Smart (Magic or Intelligent) Mirror that tells you the news while you admire your looks. Smart Mirror is started by a team of experienced Engineers in 2007. The main aim is to further enhance the interactive capabilities of the unit and lower the application development cost and have a powerful yet easy-to-use management software.
Raspberry Pi as board computer base (controls the data displayed on Mirror , The Raspberry Pi is connected to monitor via HDMI as well as it also has inbuilt Wi-Fi and Bluetooth interfaces )
Ø Touch Display module and 7-inch LCD display
ØA Touch Sensitive 1-way reflective Film
Ø Raspbian by Debian is used as Operating System
Ø Integrated Virtual Keyboard
ØCamera is input device for the Mirror, its used for Face Recognition as well as body recognition.
