Student Activity: Toward a More Sustainable Campus through Innovative Design and Practical Application
On 16/11/2019 a seminar presented by mr. Hawar Kamal entitled (Fight with undefeatable power: suppression of Eros and sustaining Thanatos in Orwell’s NEF).
Eros and Thanatus are two contradict Greek term The latter means death drives whilst the former means love drives. In Orwell’s Nineteen Eighty Four those two terms are foregrounded the main character undergo the suppression of his ID by the party and the authority. He coerced to eradicate his own Eros and in contrary to sustain his own death drive which is Thanatos.
