Student Activity: Toward a More Sustainable Campus through Innovative Design and Practical Application
On October 13, 2024, the Computer Science Department at Cihan University Sulaimaniya, in collaboration with the Northern Institute of Technology-Kirkuk, hosted a national workshop titled “How to Get Scholarships: A Complete Guide for Students.” The event featured Assist. Prof. Dr. Lway Faisal and Assist. Lecturer Mr. Ardalan Hussain from Cihan University, alongside Assist. Prof. Dr. Kusay Faisal from the Northern Institute of Technology.
The workshop, divided into three parts, began with a discussion on navigating online platforms for scholarship opportunities. The second part focused on the Fulbright USA Scholarship, offering hands-on training for creating an account and understanding application requirements. The final section provided practical tips for building a strong scholarship application, including advice on writing personal statements and showcasing achievements.
The event concluded at 2:00 PM with a Q&A session, empowering students with the tools and knowledge to enhance their chances of securing scholarships.
