Scientific Trip: Visit to DUKAN-2 Water Treatment Plant
On 21st Nov 2022, The Computer Science Department organized a scientific trip to Korek Telecom Head Quarters’ office. Student participation included groups of students at all stages of their study in different classes. Korek Telecom is an Iraqi Kurdish mobile phone operator company in Kurdistan Region. The trip was arranged under the supervision of Dr. Lway Faisal, the Head of the Computer Science Department at Cihan University Sulaimaniya.
This visit aimed at helping students get an overview of the technical working environment, and to preparing students for future careers. A discussion panel oriented to share some successful stories and inspirations while working for Korek Telecom. Further, it was elaborated that newly graduated students contributed with wise ideas that led to many achievements. And, it was also recognised that obtaining an internship at such a company like Korek Telecom was important.
The HQ at Korek Telecom also illustrated the company’s marketing mechanisms for the purpose of reaching out the largest number of customers.
The Computer Science Department representing Cihan University Sulaimaniya would like to express the presidency’s appreciation and thanks to Korek Telecom Company for their warm welcome and kindness. We also hope to arrange further scientific outings to promote student development and help students prepare themselves for their future careers.
