A seminar was delivered by Assistant. Professor. Dr.Lway Faisal about Networking in the Computer Science Department, Cihan University Sulaimaniya.
The Seminar was mainly about Data flow and network Classifications.
Based on network size: LAN and WAN (and MAN)
Based on management method: Peer-to-peer and Client/Server
Based on topology (connectivity): Bus, Star, Ring ..
Based on transmission media: Wired (UTP, coaxial cables, fiber-optic cables) and Wireless.
It was concluded that:
- Understanding LAN and WAN hardware and software and their implementations in a network structure are critical for computer engineers.
- Advanced knowledge of Networking tools and concepts is increasingly important for immerging and future technology.
