Student Activity: Toward a More Sustainable Campus through Innovative Design and Practical Application
On 16/10/2021 the third stage students of the Architectural Engineering Department presented their works of designing an Indoor Swimming Pool (Short course 25m) on a (2000m2) gradient plot that has a (6m) slope. The project has been presented under the supervision of the staff of the Architecture Design Module.
An indoor swimming pool centre essentially includes a Pool-hall, Administration, Changing room facilities and Services alongside outdoor spaces, landscape and car parking. In the design, some standards have been considered such as:
- Lighting quality (Naturally lit from above only)
- Noise/Acoustic control
- Internal Environment Quality
- Safety
- Security
- Fire protection
- Hygiene
- Water and Plumping Piping systems
