On 21/12/202, a third-year student of the Department of Law, Zhenar Hendren, under the supervision of Assist. Prof. Dr. Nuri Hama Saeed prepared and presented a seminar for students of the Department of Law titled ‘Gender reassignment and change: Comparative analysis between Islamic Jurisprudence and Iraqi laws’.
This seminar focused on the subject from a medical science perspective, Sharia law and Iraqi Laws . This seminar also debated the reasons for the demand for gender reassignment in western countries questioning its consequences. Further, a number of decisions and rulings of the Kurdistan Region’s Courts were interpreted and analysed.
