On December 2, 2024, the fourth-stage students of the Architecture Department at Cihan University Sulaymaniyah showcased their final interior design projects as part of their academic curriculum. The presentation marked a significant milestone in their Interior Design lecture.
Supervised by Asst. Lect. Barham Abdul and Research Asst. Shyam Wahid, the students displayed a range of creative and functional interior designs. Each project reflected the application of design principles such as spatial planning, material selection, lighting, and aesthetic coherence, tailored to meet diverse functional requirements.
The final submissions provided an opportunity for students to translate theoretical concepts into tangible design solutions, emphasizing innovation, functionality, and user experience. The projects were critiqued by the lecturers, offering constructive feedback to further refine the students’ design skills.
Such academic exercises are vital for equipping architecture students with practical experience, fostering their growth as future designers capable of addressing real-world challenges in interior architecture.
