Student Activity: Toward a More Sustainable Campus through Innovative Design and Practical Application
On 6th of December 2022, The Sports Unit at Cihan University Sulaymaniyah headed by Faraidun Aziz Ahmed organized the
Final Match Of The football tournament for English Language department, Translation Department and General Education Department. The final match ended with fourth stage students from English Language Department winning over the Lecturers team (8– 5). At the end of the match, Prizes were awarded to the both teams.
This sporting event comes as part of the Sports Unit’s efforts to encourage and promote sport as a way of improving student well-being, health and social life whilst at University. And, more importantly, sports activities play an important role in various groups and communities. Although sports activities have many health benefits including improving the well-being of individuals, but, they also contribute to the empowerment of individuals, and helping the development of inclusive communities.
