Scientific Trip: Visit to DUKAN-2 Water Treatment Plant
The English Language Strengthening Course, organized by the Department of English at Cihan University of Sulaimaniya in collaboration with the Science Zakat institution, has begun today, July 15th. This course aims to enhance the linguistic skills of students from various departments, aligning with the university’s commitment to serving both students and the wider community.
To accurately assess the students’ English proficiency levels, an examination was conducted on July 10th, 2023. A total of 128 students from diverse departments participated in the assessment, utilizing the Oxford placement test as a reliable measure. Based on the results, the course will cater to students across different proficiency levels, customizing the instruction to meet individual needs.
The course will span a duration of one month, concluding on August 15th, 2023. Throughout this intensive program, students will engage in comprehensive language instruction, focusing on all core aspects of English language learning, including reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Additionally, the curriculum will incorporate subject-specific vocabulary and language skills tailored to the academic disciplines represented by the participating students. The collaboration with the Science Zakat institution further strengthens the course’s impact and reach.
