Student Activity: Toward a More Sustainable Campus through Innovative Design and Practical Application
To improve the standards of English language the University of Cihan/Sulaimani campus has organized a free English proficiency course for its students and staff. The course was specially developed and taught by an expert team, from both of Cihan and Sulaimani University.
The course comprised two levels; an elementary and a pre-intermediate level, the levels were indicated based on a specially developed placement test. Students in the course were acquainted with the four skills of language; listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Classes involved an intensive 45 hours of practical teaching that exposed the students to real-life situations.
The course lasted for one month, starting from the 30th of July till the 30th of August.Â
