The study, titled “A Comprehensive Review on Nitrogen-Doped Carbon Dots for Antibacterial Applications”, explores the innovative use of nitrogen-doped carbon dots (N-CDs) in combating bacterial infections. With properties like photostability, biocompatibility, and versatile surface characteristics, N-CDs hold significant promise as antibacterial agents. This comprehensive review highlights advancements in the synthesis, structure, and antibacterial mechanisms of N-CDs and discusses strategies to boost their effectiveness against harmful pathogens.
