Student Activity: Toward a More Sustainable Campus through Innovative Design and Practical Application
On 6/3/2024, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mukhalad Malik, an instructor from the department of English participated in a Workshop entitled “Supporting Sustainable Reintegration in Iraq” held by IOM UN MIGRATION. The main task was to interpret from English to Arabic and visa versa along with other Kurdish interpreters. The workshop tackled the issue of migrants and the readmission cooperation. The task was so delicate as it required careful and cautious attention to the talks, comments and interferences of the participants and then interpreting them in both languages taking into consideration the exact and proper interpretation of the terms and idioms used by the key speakers and participants. The participation reflects the capabilities and willingness of the university to serve the community providing experiences, support and necessary tools for making any event or occasion efficient, fruitful and successful as much as possible.
