Lecturers promote student-centered learning by encouraging students to trust in their own leadership abilities and remembering how it feels to be involved in a student-centered learning process. This process allows students to take control of their learning and class activities in order to improve their knowledge of the topics they are learning. As students get a better understanding of how their previous abilities integrate into the new concepts being taught, they become more engaged in class discussions. Learners in a student-centered classroom bring a lot to the table that will engage and enhance their learning. Students take responsibility of their learning and progress when they lead the discussion in their courses. Participation is the most important aspect of a student-centered classroom, as participation enables students to communicate ideas with one another and acquire key speaking skills using the language of the discipline appropriate to the subject they are learning as an educational strategy that achieves significant learning outcomes.
