General Education Students Visit Smart Private School
Assistant Lecturer Aziz Raouf from the Translation Department at Cihan University Sulaimaniya presented his latest translations of two renowned books at the Jamal Erfan Cultural Foundation in Sulaimaniya. The seminar highlighted his translations of Homo Deus and 21 Lessons for the 21st Century by Yuval Noah Harari from English to Kurdish.
A seminar at the Jamal Erfan Cultural Foundation in Sulaimaniya on December 23, 2024, introduced the Kurdish translations of two influential books by Yuval Noah Harari. Assistant Lecturer Aziz Raouf from the Translation Department at Cihan University Sulaimaniya led the event, showcasing his translations of Homo Deus and 21 Lessons for the 21st Century.
The seminar was held as part of the “Intellectuals Are a National Asset” initiative by the foundation. During the event, attendees discussed the significance of these books in broadening Kurdish readers’ access to global intellectual discourse. Aziz Raouf elaborated on the challenges and importance of accurately conveying Harari’s complex ideas into Kurdish.
