The Power and Precision of Journalistic Translation
On 10th August 2022, Cihan University Slemani participated in a Conference titled ‘Ensuring Iraqi Citizens’ Access to Legal Identity Documents’. Assist. Lecture. Hemen Rasheed Agha, Director of Quality Assurance of Cihan University Slemani and lecturer in the Department of Law attended the conference representing the university and the Department of Law. The conference proceedings focused and explored the importance of legal identity documents and need to deepen understanding of implications of lacking such documents for any citizen of a country. And, other important topics discussed included; the consequences of lack of Identification and link between legal identity, birth registration and the risk of statelessness. The participation of our university in this meeting comes within the framework of a series of academic activities planned by PhD Candidate, Dzwar Anwar Ahmad, Director of Media and Relations of Cihan University Slemani as a strategy for active participation of the university in the important issues Kurdistan. The conference was organised by, PAO (People Aid Organisation).
