The Zakat of Knowledge is Spreading It
Under the title of “The Zakat of Knowledge is Spreading It,” Cihan University of Sulaimaniya has taken an important step in catering to the needs of law students by introducing Arabic Language Courses designed specifically for them. The Law Department has organized the course in collaboration and under the guidance of the Science Zakat institution, headed by Nuri Hama Saeed Haider, a Lecturer of Islamic Law at the Department of Law.
The course commenced on Monday, July 9, 2023, and is aimed at emphasizing the significance of the Arabic language in the study of law. It has been scheduled to run throughout the duration of the summer vacation, allowing students ample time to enhance their Arabic language skills. The Head of the Department, Dr. Ismail Najmaddin Namik, provided an insightful introduction, highlighting the importance of learning Arabic for law students.
Leading the course is Assistant Professor Dr. Nuri Hamah Said, who is well-versed in language instruction and possesses expertise in the subject matter. Dr. Nuri Hamah Said delivered a comprehensive presentation on the essential language skills that law students should acquire to excel in their field.
By offering this specialized Arabic Language Course, Cihan University aims to equip law students with the necessary linguistic proficiency to navigate legal texts and engage effectively in legal discourse. This initiative reflects the university’s commitment to fostering a well-rounded education that recognizes the symbiotic relationship between language and law.
