General Education Students Visit Smart Private School
A renowned cultural organization from Halabja Province in the Kurdistan Region has honored Dr. Momen Yaseen M. Amin, the head of the Translation Department at Cihan University Sulaimaniya, for his significant contributions to the revitalization and establishment of the Hawrami Alphabet.
The prestigious recognition was presented by Zhiway Organization for Culture and Language, a prominent entity in Halabja Province and Hawraman on January 28, 2025. The award highlights Dr. Momen’s dedication to preserving and promoting the Hawrami variety of Kurdish language and its cultural heritage.
In addition to his academic role, Dr. Momen serves as the editor of Linguistics, a quarterly magazine published by Cihan University. His efforts in the academic and cultural spheres have earned him respect and admiration for his commitment to the language and history of the Hawramani people.
