Student Activity: Toward a More Sustainable Campus through Innovative Design and Practical Application
On 23rd August 2022, Cihan University Slemani’s Sorts Unit held a Chess tournament for academic and administrative staff. The tournament that comprised of series of chess games played competitively to determine a winning individual. The chess competition among staff players ended with Mr. Rzgar Abdull and Saiq Omer playing the finals round and Mr. Rzgar Abdull wining the final, and at the end, prizes were distributed to the participants. This athletic event is a part of the Sorts Unit’s initiatives to support and promote sport as a means of enhancing the health, wellbeing, and social life of university workers and staff. Furthermore, sports activities are significant for many different tribes and organizations. Even though participating in sports has numerous positive effects on one’s health, including enhancing one’s wellbeing, it also helps build inclusive communities and empowers individuals.
