Student Activity: Toward a More Sustainable Campus through Innovative Design and Practical Application
On April 30, 2024, a group of third and fourth-grade students from the architecture department at Cihan University Sulaymaniyah embarked on an enlightening scientific journey to Hawraman. Their educational adventure was expertly guided by the knowledgeable lecturer, Mrs. Sara Dhiaadin, alongside the dedicated research assistants, Mrs. Shatoo Nawroz and Mr. Dhurgham Ali. During this captivating trip, the students immersed themselves in the rich cultural heritage of Hawraman, focusing specifically on the intricacies of traditional dwellings and mosques. Under the watchful eyes of their mentors, the young learners delved deep into the unique design elements, innovative materials, and robust structures that define the architectural landscape of the region.
