Student Activity: Toward a More Sustainable Campus through Innovative Design and Practical Application
On 14th Nov 2022, The Department of Architecture held a national workshop titled Architectural Technology to Enhance Sustainability. The workshop was jointly organized between Cihan-Sulaimaniya University and Soran Electronic Power Company. Presenters at the workshop included Assist. Lect. Hardi Wahab Ahmed, Soran Hamasalih Raouf, Arch. Koras Rebwar Hussein.
The workshop aimed and acknowledged the importance of Engineering Technology in enhancing sustainability when applying architectural concepts and designs for developing Slemani city. This will lead to more efficient/green energy use and consumption that in turn leads to a greener environment and buildings in extra-urban, densely populated areas. The technological pieces of equipment that were presented at the workshop facilitated the practical application of those technologies.
