On 18th July 2023, a legal seminar was organized under the joint auspices of the Zakat Science Institute and in collaboration with the Department of Law at Cihan University – Sulaimani. The seminar was successfully conducted for employees of Sulaimaniya Center District Governorate, and its insightful presentations were delivered by esteemed legal expert, PhD Candidate Aso Hama Shen, who is also a distinguished lecturer of Public Law.
During the seminar, PhD Candidate Aso Hama Shen provided valuable insights to the participants on various aspects of their roles and responsibilities within the public service domain. The seminar focused on three key areas:
- Duties and Responsibilities of Government Employees: PhD Candidate Aso Hama Shen comprehensively analyzed the essential duties and responsibilities incumbent upon public servants, emphasizing the importance of upholding ethical standards and delivering efficient services to the public.
- Introducing the Most Important Penalties for Public Servants: Participants were enlightened about the significant penalties that may be imposed in response to misconduct or violations committed by public servants. PhD Candidate Aso Hama Shen emphasized the necessity of adhering to legal and professional guidelines to ensure the integrity of public service.
- Procedures and Mechanisms for the Formation of Committees to Investigate Administrative Violations: Detailed procedures and mechanisms for constituting committees to investigate administrative violations were thoroughly examined by PhD Candidate Aso Hama Shen. This segment of the seminar underscored the importance of transparency and fairness in the investigation process.
