The Accounting Department is one of the important departments at Cihan University/Sulaimaniya. It was established in 2012. It has the morning and evening studies. The period of time required for the study is four years, after which the graduate is awarded bachelors certificate in Accounting
The Accounting department is looking forward to achieve a leadership and excellence role in the field of accounting work locally and regionally. IT seeks to provide an educational, training, and advisory services that are aimed to develop the community and meet the requirements of the labor market by provide a specialized staff in the financial and accounting fields. This can be accomplished by attract an efficient and professional teaching staff, provide a developed educational curriculums, and build good relationships with other institutions in order to provide services that are relevant to the financial and accounting business with respect to the following values:

The main objectives of the accounting department are to
- Prepare and qualify a dedicated staff in the financial and accounting areas.
- Support the relationship between the department and the other institutions of the society through the provision of accounting services, consulting, and other training programs.
3.Support the scientific research of the members of the College and the students in order
to assist the development of the financial and accounting work methods.
