The Accounting by IT Department is one of the important departments at Cihan University – Sulaimaniya. It was established in 2011, the period of time required for the study is four years, after which the graduate is awarded bachelor’s degree in Accounting by Information Technology.

The Department of Accounting by Information Technology looks forward to become one of the leading and distinctive sections at the local and regional level in the areas of work supported by accounting information technology. The department seeks to prepare and graduate a specialized staff that is able to use information technology and accounting approaches in order to serve the local and regional market. This would be accomplished by supplying these markets by qualified staff that is able to organize the accounting labor according to the international standards related. To accomplish this, it is needed to provide a unique educational environment, develop curriculums, stimulate the intellectual abilities of the students, attract an efficient and unique teaching staff, and enhance the relationship between the department and the community to provide useful services in the financial and accounting fields.
